For my friend's 30th birthday, she was having a very special Hawaiian themed girly party. The invitations were handmade by another friend of hers in a scrapbook style with tropical paper flowers. I tried to duplicate the flowers in fondant and handpainted each one with a pink pearl dusting powder. I made the number 30 for the top out of fondant as well and painted it with the pink pearl powder. I was happy with the glossy effect and overall it captured the spirit of the party. The cake colors also matched the invitation, with the pinks, black, and cream colors.
