I enjoyed making this cake last Sunday for my friend Erin's mom. She loves mocha and chocolate things, so it is a Devil's Food cake that I torted and layered with chocolate mousse, then frosted in a homemade mocha buttercream. Her mom recently went to Hawaii, so the flowers I made out of gumpaste were inspired by that region.
This cake is beautiful and I was so glad to be there to be a taste tester. It was yummy! The chocolate buttercream with mocha and chocolate mousse! Can't get better than that for a chocolate lover!
